QuietComfort 25 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones are the best-performing around-ear headphones from Bose. They give you crisp, powerful sound--and quiet that lets you hear your music better. Bose advances their industry-leading headphones with the latest proprietary Bose Active EQ and TriPort technology, giving the music you love deep, clear sound. At the same time, Bose noise cancelling technology monitors the noise around you and cancels it out, helping you focus on what you want to hear--whether it’s your music, your calls or simply peace and quiet. With a distinctive design and two color options to match your style, these headphones look as good as they sound. They’re also comfortable, durably made and easy to stow, with earcups that pivot to fit in a small carrying case. Customized for Apple devices. Included: QuietComfort 25 headphones; 56-inch QC25 inline remote and microphone cable; airline adapter; carrying case; AAA battery.
Pros:
1)The case is very attractive and slightly more compact than the QC15, with a nifty holder for the airplane adapter a spare battery.
2) The zipper construction is clean and sturdy, and probably will provide years of use without problem.
3)The battery seems to last about the same amount of time as it did on the QC15, but when the battery goes dead you can still hear your music.
4)Folding the headphones to fit into the compact case is easy, and the hinges work without binding.
5)They sound as good, if not modestly better, than the QC15. (Non-HiFi but good enough for Road Warrior use.)
6)The noise reduction seems comparable to the QC15.
7)The inline pause/start and volume control works great with my iPod and iPad.
Good sound, top 5 in noise-cancelling headphone options, user replaceable battery (AAA) with long life, user replaceable ear-pads, lightweight, comfortable fit, close-out pricing, nice case included, works well for a big head like mine, ears don't get too warm after wearing them for a long time, can use the NC feature even without music.
BIG PRO: No annoying voice prompts when you switch the NC feature ON/OFF.
8)Extremely comfortable, Ear cups do a good job at passively blocking external noise,
Superb sound quality
9)sound, noise cancellation, no need to charge, compatible with airplanes, good mic
10)The noise cancellation feature worked wonderfully to drown out any noise from the engine, but didn't really work on babies crying super loud. It couldn't block the noise completely, but it did make it more manageable and less annoying.
11)Very durable, I purchased this in December 2017 and I have been using them many times for 6 months now. So far so good! It still looks and feels brand new to me.
12)One of the best thing that I realized from using these on a very long flight was how comfortable these were! The cushion pads were comfortable as most headphones and I get into a bit of a tiff around the two-hour mark. They tend to squeeze my head but these doesn't do that. These headphones merely rest atop my head so it doesn't press on my skin. I can sleep with these on inside a plane. These are that comfy.
13)I use this together with my wife and she said that what she likes the most about these pairs is the fact that it doesn't catch her long hair, skin, or clothing ever! A huge plus for everyone with longer hair.
14)When I used the wire, I didn't have trouble with the controls. The wire were long enough to give enough room to move comfortably.
15)The case is compact, well organized and easy to store. It doesn't add much to your belongings, so perfect for carry-on. It feels well-made with high quality material
16)almost completely suppress wind and road noise while driving, heck it's great to have these on even without playing music or audio to make the ride more enjoyable.
17)remove extraneous noise even in a quiet room. Put these on in your living room and marvel at how suddenly quiet the room becomes.
18)plugged into iPod classic, sound is crystal clear; listening to audio books is like having the reader in your living room.
19)volume controls and pause buttons on cord work beautifully
20)cups completely and comfortably cover my ears - and they're large
these are light weight and you can wear them all day long in complete comfort. I had them on for multiple 10 hour stretches on the road trip.
battery life is really good. I well over thirty hours life out of the single AAA battery that powers the noise suppression
21) uses a single AAA battery and comes with a spare., the carrying case is perfectly sized to hold these phones, and the accessories, including the spare battery, the packaging is well thought out and nicely executed.
Cons
1)They are not as comfortable for long wear (8+ hours) as the QC15. I can't explain why, they just aren't.
2)Without any input and the cable disconnected--i.e., just using them to cancel outside noise--there is a slight background hiss that I never experienced with the QC15.
3)The QC25 "feels cheaper" than the QC15. I can't explain why, particularly given the construction of both is plastic.
4) From the very first use, when jiggling the cable I experienced a "dirty connection" clicking in the headphones. After two weeks of use this went completely bad, leaving me without audio, and and the device jack (opposite the end that plugs into the headphone) appears to be broken below the plastic housing.
5)They used a 2.5mm plug for the headset, so you're stuck with special adapters if you lose your cord.
6)Bass response is not what I expected for Bose*Not wireless*
7)Design feels a little flimsy and cheap.
8)nowhere specific to store the wire in the case
9)It does look big and bulky but for all those awesome absolute silent nights these gave me while flying, I can live with that.
10)Like I said, didn't really work on babies crying super loud and kids screaming non-stop but it did make it manageable.
11)the removable cord could be a foot longer
12)the controls on the cord could be a tad larger for people with larger hands
13)with noise cancellation off, I think these may be a step down in sound quality compared to my Sony Studio Monitor headphones. My ear cushions are completely deteriorated after ~2 years of MILD use. I guess you really have to pamper these delicate babies or else they'll fall apart.
14)You cant hear those around ... but they can hear you! If these babies are not snug around your ears or if you have music playing others around you will hear it.
